Hey guys,

I've decided to pull the clutch cover off the bike and replace it with a fresh one, but what material should the gasket be? I've been trawling eBay and the gaskets I've found are rubber or paper. I don't know which one I need/which is the best option :dunno_black: Also I need to replace the gasket that sits between the valve cover and the breather cover but I'm struggling to find one. Does any body know what material it should be made from?

thanks in advance  :thumb:

The Suzuki gaskets I got for mine are the fiber or "paper" type.  I don't know that either are superior.

For the clutch cover : go OEM. The stock gaskets have something like a sealer on them so they don't leak (just woke up so I can't think technical..... duh).

For that breather cover : doesn't matter. That's not a "high pressure / wet" area, so a gasket is barely needed anyway.

If there was no option and I HAD to make one I would choose 0.75mm Klingersil C4400 on the basis I have made gaskets from it before it has worked with 100% success.

But I prefer to keep things simple so I would probably buy this instead......... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/272161373064?limghlpsr=true&hlpv=2&ops=true&viphx=1&hlpht=true&lpid=122&chn=ps&googleloc=9046631&poi=&campaignid=270621186&device=c&adgroupid=16885268106&rlsatarget=pla-146650303986&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0-L&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=122&ul_noapp=true

That is what I had my eye to be honest. And that's a few quid cheaper than the one from fowlers:

Just got to order the clutchcase, gasket and breather cover gasket, then figure out a way to get the old tacho drive and replaced and sookie will be back on the road and better than ever  :thumb:
