Right Side Indicators Don't Work

Hey guys! First post here. I just picked up a 2005 GS500F and am working out its little kinks. The right side indicator lights don't work (hi-beams and turn signals). What could this be? I know it's probably just the bulbs going out, but is there any other possibility? Both the left side indicators work, so I want to rule out fuses or a wire or something. Thanks!

There is only one fuse for the motorcycle so that isn't your problem.

Rule out the easiest stuff first, then progress to the more difficult stuff and the less likely causes.  Inspect the bulbs, if the filament is burnt or separated replace the bulbs.  If you aren't sure after a visual check, swap the bulbs to the left side and see if they light up.

The switch might be bad and the wiring might be bad.  These are much less likely to be the case than simple burnt bulbs.  If you have a multimeter you can check the voltage across the two wires going to the turn signals.  You can check the continuity of the wires all the way back to the switch if you open it up and have a poke at the insides.  You can inspect the switch mechanism itself too and verify that it is making proper contact.

What did you mean by (hi-beams and turn signals)?  Is there a right side hi-beam?

Gotcha. I'll look it over in the morning, but it just seems strange both indicators on one side would go out. I don't have access to a multimeter though, so if the bulbs aren't the problem I may just accept how things are... I can see the light switch and signals without the lights so it's not too big a deal haha. No, no right side hi-beam, just trying to be clear about which lights were broken.

Don'tknow where you are, but Harbor Freight has free multimeters from time to time. Better than nothing....

If it's just the high beam (the H4 bulb, not the blue indicator light), I'd guess the bulb is burnt out. As far as the right side signals - I guess either a wire came loose or the switch is broken / dirty.
