Delkevic exhaust with another brand of muffler

Hey so I want to get a stainless exhaust manifold but I'm not interested in the Delkevic muffler.

I noticed that the stainless header is available for purchase but it ends right after the two pipes join.

How does one go about completing an exhaust set up like this?  Why did they have to go and put the last couple of feet of tubing on the muffler??

If I buy the headers will I need to get a custom exhaust tube section made up?  I might not mind having my muffler be parallel with the ground, will it clear the rear tire?  Does anyone have pictures of a setup like this?
