What's your quickest 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph) on your GS 500?
Could be cool to collect a lot of data on these bikes to get a general idea of where the acceleration time actually is on this bike. What is it said to do from factory?

Mine does 5.17s on a slight incline and 5.57s on a straight road.

Here's a list of all the data from published road tests I've found:

407,400 miles in 30 years for 13,580 miles/year average.  Started riding 7/21/84 and hung up helmet 8/31/14.

In that top line what do they mean about EX500?

@Palm,

Don't forget that indicated speed will be incorrect so your 0-100 in 5.57 is actually 7.2

For reference my 2010GS500 is...

Indicated/Actual KPH
70/63
80/70
90/80
112/100
125/110

Is your front tire stock size? Those deviations seem quite large.

@Rallyfan,

Yup, all stock, apparently it's pretty standard, checked against a gps speed readout which is absolutely accurate, you might want to check yours for yourself in case you're accidentally not speeding.

It's not just this bike either, majority of vehicles have a 5-7% margin showing more speed than you actually doing! ... its a 'safety' thing

user11235813

Yeah, that's fair enough but 10-15% is a bit rich, however I've gotten used to it.
