i feel so stupid

yeah, total brain fart today. i was on a hill to begin with and rolled up to the light and sat there and waited. the light turned green and i started giving it gas and releasing the clutch then the bike stalled out. see as you may have noticed i didnt say i down shifted. man i felt so stupid. this old granny car passes me and i know they laughed as they cruised on by. i down shifted to forth and gunned the gas, slowly but surely i got going. i couldnt down shift more, cross traffic was waiting for me. damn, ive been riding for almost a year now. oh well shaZam! happens :dunno:

dont worry. it still (rarely) happnes to me. ie been riding for almost 1 1/2 years now so dont feel to bad.

Could have been worse.  You could have been sitting next to a hot blonde in a convertable who was making come hither looks at ya, while she is getting turned on by your revving the engine!

But Im one in a million. I did do a wheelie once, and the front tire came down real hard and I sacked myself bad in front of some girls. Sot hast just as bad.

I think we've all been there, in one form or another...  That's why GS's are called "learner bikes".  With a notchy tranny and so little low-end torque, it's guaranteed to make you look and feel like an idgit when it happens.  You just have to keep telling yourself that it could be worse.  You could dismount your bike without lowering the sidestand (never done it, but heard about it).

Oh, here's one I did with an old bike of mine...

Lean against it to pose for a picture, only to lean on it so hard that it tips over and you fall ontop of it, scalding the back of your leg on the hot cylinder head!

Stupid straight-up-and-down dirtbike sidestands!  :x

I have never forgotten to down shift, but the one and only time I layed my bike over I stopped at a stop light after it happened and there was blood dripping off of my arm and my leg, and like 5 girls in a car pull up and ask If I need a band aid and started making fun of me.

My ex's dad stopped at a stop light and (tried to) put his foot down -- unfortunately his gigantic bell-bottoms caught on his peg and -- CRUNCH -- , down he went.

Last time I was at a red light and was going to open the visor on my helmet to get fresh air because it was like 102degrees outside and I let go of the clutch and WHAM the bike jerked and made me hit my bawls I felt so stupid.
