Hi there guys! Im currently in the process of bringing a 93 GS500e back to life, Ive cleaned the carbies, got it running, the left cylinder is a bit temperamental but I think that's spark plug related which ill be getting new ones tonite and have back up coils aswell. that aside, also tonight the father inlaw and I will be fitting a Yoshi pipe I scored in some parts trading, now I don't think its made for the GS500, however the size is right and I got it for bugger all! So, Ive been doing some internet research and Im stumped, It has pod filters with stock exhaust and when both cylinders decide to work she RUNS AWESOME!! now with this exhaust going on im stuck on two thought trains. 1) pods and open exhaust everyone says REJET REJET REJET! 2) others say you don't need to rejet, just adjust ur air fuel mix needle... as im not a motorbike mech, I don't know which is the correct way to go?? (side note) have made a couple single piston café racers in my time, and each time I podded and opened the exhaust I tweeked the carb settings a lil and they always ran fine... (in Australian climates) so yeah.. im not sure what to do haha. (sorry for the long windedness and yes pics will be coming soon!) possible sound vid before/after thing too!
your input is welcomed! regards Rob.

I'm by far not an expert on the bike but current;ly doing some similar work. the common wisdom on the site is that with hi-flow filters and an aftermarket exhaust you should be rejetting the bike and for the ~30$ your gonna spend it seems worth it for the piece of mind. Also not sure how you would get the increased fuel mixture to such a degree without rejetting tbh.
