Hey all... thanks for all the info on this topic.

I called my local salvage/wrecker/dealer guy today and he got me a great deal on a V&H system so I went with it.  I convinced my wife that it was only 3 weeks till my bithday and she bit on that one and  so I ordered it quick before she regained her senses.

Katana shocks probably wont affect the wheelie ability.
Cool.

So even with a K&N and the pipe I don't need to rejet the motorcycle? Wouldn't a rejet while i have everything apart make sense, or it realy doesnt make a difference and is a waste of money? Also, i don't understand what you meant by "Use the 150/40/1 washer/3 turns with K&N in place of air box." I am still in the dark about that.

Thanks

You have to rejet and the 150/40/1/3 is the jets and the settings you start with. Just dont buy a Kit is what I am saying. A kit is right about as effective as the jets and the jets cost a lot less.
Cool.

I did the K&N replacement filter and 127.5/40/1 washer/3 turns.  I'll probably rejet to 150 if I go full exhaust, but for now the bike runs pretty well.  Maybe still slightly towards the lean side of things...

No 150 is only for pods. With exhaust/slip on 127.5 is right. With stock and K&N drop in 125 is good. You are fine if you put on a exhaust.

OK then where is it lean. Make sure your float level is right. Up to the float gasket and no more checked with U tube method.
Cool.
