so guys a week or so ago i was riding looked down and noticed the oil light was on so i pulled off and into a gas station, by the time i pulled in the light was off. as i pulled into a spot i grabbed the clutch and the bike immediately died, so i tried to at least crank it and just nothing. i have no headlight taillight brake light dash light nothing. 12v on the battery. today i was looking and found the starter fuse to be blown but when i replaced it nothing changed, i have a clymer manual for it but it hasnt been much help. any ideas??? i know the motor is still free and i dont even get a solenoid click. as far as i can see the ignition switch connection is still secure along with any others i can find.

I had one like this once where an ignition switch wire had been pinched between the steering lock stops (on the lower triple and steering head). The wire was cut through neatly.
The wire was enclosed in a sheath which was undamaged, - you couldn't see from the outside where the wire had been broken.
(I looked for the problem everywhere for a couple of days. It took my mate to spot it, - a M/C mech who can spot a missing split pin at 20 paces!)
Beam me up Scottie....
