Hey guys,

Took the breather cover off the valve cover to get the valve cover off, but on the underside of the breather cover is a yellowish/white creamy gel-ish substance. I've only ever seen this on a car, and it's usually tragic news, does this mean I have water in my engine?!

How much gel-ish substance are we talking about? Just a little around some edges = no big deal.

Yes, you'll have some water in your engine and no, it's not much of a problem. Condensation forms in the oil, and evaporates out the breather tube. Totally normal. The more you run the engine (or change your oil), the less water will be in the engine.

It isn't alot, but it makes sense that there is a build up because the bike has stood for a few months now. I will just scoop it out and continue. Cheers Rich  :thumb:
