add Drum charger and get  10 more horsepower  ?    48 hp  stock  plus  10 hp from Drum charger  =  58 hp  from our  Gs500  ?   read about  Drum charging on Bikebandit  website  .  says  maximum  of 25 %  increase in power output  ?    extra  extra   read  all about  it ............   :woohoo:   :woohoo:    :woohoo:

I had to look this one up.

I'd call it a "Pancake Charger" if I was the one naming it.

Best I can decipher it uses exhaust impulse to expand and contract a diaphragm which in turn draws in fresh air and then pushes it into the intake.  Very similar to how your lungs work.

I seriously doubt the claims of their HP gains.  I don't think the diaphragm could create enough vacuum or pressure to significantly affect intake.  Turbo's work well because they spin.  As exhaust pressure pushes it faster it increases intake vacuum, and it's theoretically limitless. The faster it can spin, the more it will draw, the better the engine outputs, the more exhaust is created, the faster it spins, etc etc.
When you have a diaphragm that has a limited space of travel it only can force X much air per impulse regardless of velocity, and it's limited by how fast the diaphragm can travel back and forth.
It's interesting to note that all of the motorcycles pictured with the Drum Charger installed are either big thumpers or twins.
KTM Duke, Ducati Scrambler, Suzuki SV650...  I'll bet you this thing can be easily outrun.  That diaphragm probably can't keep up with high revving 4-cylinders, or the exhaust impulse is too smooth to allow the diaphragm to operate as much as it needs.
I don't know that it's ever going to restrict intake, but I'll bet at some point natural intake vacuum overcomes the amount of pressure this thing can add.

Prove me wrong, but I'll call it an elaborate waste of money.  You'll probably see more HP gain out of your GS500 from a K&N and rejet for a fraction of the price.
Cool idea, but I can't see how it's an effective method.  I'd almost have though it should precede a turbo in terms of tech, not supersede.

Better performance from a GS500? ... tune the suspension! ...  then tune the rider! :thumb:
