motor blown

have an offer to buy a 93 gs500 with a blown motor for $200. guy says metal shavings were blowing out the exhaust and never ran again. is this worth rebuilding the motor or buying a 93 Suzuki GSX750 KATANA Motor Engine 750 . will the 750 work on the 500 gs? i assume it would but not sure.

Anything can be "made" to fit..... but as far as resembling a bolt in motor? Not an inline 4.

GS500 parts are still readily available  (new and used). If you're not afraid of an engine rebuild, $200 might be a good deal.
