California model engine??

I'm doing a complete rebuild on my motor I got from a local guy. I think it may be a california model engine as I seem to remember him saying it came from san diego. Besides the timing rotor being different, are there any other differences?? Less cam lift? different cam timing? etc?

Ignition rotor says 5-35 on a CA bike. Only difference.
