Bike fell over, now won't start

Don't know why on earth I didn't get the kickstand down all the way this morning, but apparently I didn't, and she fell over to the left as I walked away. Already been laid down once by the previous owner so no big deal aesthetically. Broke the tip off the clutch lever.
My issue is that the bike won't start now. Actually, it won't even turn over. There's power (lights, horn both work), but when I push the start button, literally nothing happens. Making me think that the starter broke or something?
Not looking for specific advice because I know it's a unique situation and you guys can't see the bike in person, but I'm curious if this or something similar has happened to anyone else in order to give me a couple starting points on where to look for the problem?

Fell on the left side, you say? If you damaged the clutch lever, maybe check if the clutch sensor switch is damaged? If that's stuck in the open position, the starter wont run. Its a little switch screwed into the bottom portion of the left hand control. Its just two little JIS screws. Take it off and examine it for damage. After removing it, move the switch into the "closed" position and see if the bike starts.

Also you damage the kickstand or shift lever when it fell? There's a sensor that keeps the bike from starting in gear if the kickstand is down, maybe that was damaged somehow or the bike is stuck in 1st or 2nd gear?

Thanks, baker. I will check that sensor switch first thing when I'm home. I'd actually found that as a possible culprit while searching some more.
And I know the sensor you're talking about - that was actually the first thing I checked. haha. That switch seems okay, and I was able to shift the bike into 1st/N/2nd etc. while I was trying to start it.
Will update! I was bummed I couldn't ride today, one of the first days it's been above 40 in the morning for awhile...

Hope you get your issue sorted. Yeah, its pretty nice out where I am as well, ~60 degrees today so I took my bike out, but tonight/tomorrow its supposed to go back down to ~30 and we're supposed to get like 6 inches of snow. Central PA weather is weird as hell.
