Hi all,

I know this may sound a little strange, but I'm currently doing my final year dissertation for mechanical engineering and am aiming to produce a new rear wheel assembly design in order to reduce the unsprung weight. So far, my ideas are to design a single sided swingarm with the correct dimensions to fit the GS whilst also using some weight saving materials in the process(esp for the caliper and rotor)

I was just wondering if anybody knew the exact weight of their swingarm or brake rotor/caliper from the stock assembly?? I know it's just a matter of stripping down the bike and recording the weight but I am very low on time and was wondering if anybody already has the parts off the bike if they would be able to record the weight and let me know? I have very little time inbetween work and uni, not to mention it is under 5C every day recently and I do not have a garage, otherwise I would do it myself.

In summary I need the weight of:
1.Swingarm
2.Rear Caliper
3.Rear Rotor

If not , does anybody know where I would be able to find such values online?

:D Yep, need the exact weights if anyone happens to have them lying around and off already.

Just trying my luck really. Do not fancy going outside in the cold and rain to do this in the limited time I have
