GS500F upper fairing brace won't come off

So I've started to rip apart my 2007 GS500F and I'm ready to put on my stock headlight, but I cannot for the life of me remove the fairing bracket.
help?

It's pretty straight forward.
Which mount are you talking about.
The one to the frame or from the fairing brace to the fairing.
After removing the plastic filler pieces, don't forget the bolts holding the fairing on at the mirrors. They have to come off to remove the fairing.
There are 2 more down lower and 2 x 2 upper main attachments.

I think he's talking about removing that whole bracket, but can't tell without more descrip or pics.
