Yep, many tires for many years.  Used a curved lip tire iron and a big old screwdriver to pry tires off and on wheel and a small car for a bead breaker; put tire/wheel under side of car and with base of a jack on the tire I jacked until it popped.
407,400 miles in 30 years for 13,580 miles/year average.  Started riding 7/21/84 and hung up helmet 8/31/14.

I've been told it's pretty difficult to break the bead, but the youtube people make it seem so easy. What did you use for lubrication?
