Low side in the rain going to work on a Friday.  Was on a curve I took almost every day for like 6 months straight, both in the rain and in the dry, and on a day like any other both my wheels felt like they slid out simultaneously.

Landed on my hands and knees, bounced my face off the ground, tumbled across the oncoming lane, and stopped in the grass shoulder just a few feet from the severed remains of a steel sign post.

ATGATT, the only injuries I sustained that are worth mentioning are a sprained wrist and a bruised shoulder, and the gear weathered the crash so well that I still have it all today, 2 years later.  I often show it to my students.

The bike suffered a bent handlebar, a broken brake lever, some other minor cosmetic damage, and a ground down signal generator cover.  I rode it the half mile back home, called off work, took it easy all day.  The next day I replaced the bars and lever with spares I had in the garage, did some cleaning up, and patched the cover with duct-tape.
Stayed home all weekend, and was back to riding on Monday.

I did almost the exact same thing in my first season of riding. I was turning right into my driveway while braking, and my front wheel washed out as soon as it hit the gravel. Tore the Suzuki emblem off the signal generator cover, and added a few minor scratches to the right side. No major damage, but my neighbor was cutting grass at the time and I'm sure he got a good laugh at my expense. He was kind enough to hop off the mower and give me a hand lifting the bike back up though.

First crash ever? Hit a weird bump in the ground and fell over at really low speed when learning to ride dirtbikes when I was a kid.

First "real" crash was when I lowsided when I ran a little to wide in a turn and lost traction because of gravel near the edge of the road (the area sometimes called "the marbles"). Bent my forks, bent my steering stem, bent my axle, bent my handlebar, busted up my left side fairings (front and rear), left mirror, left turn signals, and lastly bent the subframe of my bike ever so slightly. I however, was basically unharmed. I bent my thumb a little weird but that's it.

Replaced basically the whole front end, got new fairings, mirrors, signals and bar ends, and the bike is fine now.

Crossing an intersection on a hot dry day in Texas, I didn't realize there was an automated car wash nearby. All the wet cars came out into the cross street and dumped their wetness into the intersection. Anyway, rear tire slipped out from under me. Luckily my girlfriend at the time was able to break my fall. Poor thing.
