So, I need to ride across this great country, for a few reasons, but mostly to retrieve some of my property in MI. This means I'm putting up for sale my first street bike, an old rat that I've put ~8k miles on. She's reliable, she's ugly, and at the moment, her right carburetor's mid/main jets are clogged. Computer crapped out so IDK the mileage, but a waaaay too safe bet is 22k. Probably more like 20K. Either way, valves are nice and loose and good for another 15k, at least.

THE GOOD:
new fork seals/oil---------------Free!
new clutch cable----------------Free!
new handlebars----------------$40
new ('09) electric controls-----$50
new brake pads----------------$40
new ('09) wiring harness ------$120
new windshield ----------------$100
70% rear Continental TKC70 --$200
new headlight/housing --------$80
new brake light/housing-------$50
new turn signal flasher---------$10
new turn signals/housings-----$30
new chain----------------------$60
VALVE JOB <1000M ago------$100

Sprung for about 180lbs all loaded up.

She's been babied while I've owned her, all synthetic oil, 2k mile oil/filter changes, never over 9k rpm, and rarely there at all. Makes more fun power down around 6-8k, as you should all well know.

THE BAD:

Leaned on another bike, broke the hand brake stop that prevents it from swinging all the way around. Still works, but a replacement will be ~$29.99 on BikeBandit, or cheap as hell off any old bike.

Could use a couple feet of fuel line, the current line is a bit too thick, hard to take off and put on the petcock. $25, max.

Trailtech Vapor speedometer and tach worked beautifully, and now doesn't. I have a custom metal dashboard with the bikes original LED indicators, and wiring for a vapor computer installed along with the broken unit, which will cost $100 to replace. (takes 5 min)

70% Front tire, but it's a few years old and the rubber is hard for my liking.

The pilot jets work as the motorcycle starts, idles, and runs at low throttle well. The jets are however clogged noticeably when you activate the mid and main, by twisting the throttle more than 1/3. Still goes through all gears, and all RPM, just at low throttle due to that.

/\
/\ This is the main issue with the bike, I do not have the time or money I need to get the bike running as it should. It starts and rides just fine, but overall, not doing the work yourself, I'd estimate $350 in work and parts to clean her up and make her really roadworthy.

THE UGLY:

No plastic fairings to speak of, gone in a low-speed laydown on an on-ramp, and the other side when a kid knocked it over while parked.

Some surface rusted bolts, purely cosmetic.

Posted here at a few hundred less than anywhere else, and I'd be happy to consider offers. I won't be parting her out, unless you require the engine, wheels, and something worth $100 so I can charge you $1000.
