Adjusting Full Lock?

Just wondering if you can adjust full lock on a GS. I've got drag bars on my bike and they hit the tank just before full lock,I've seen other bikes (ducati monster I think) with a screw adjustment that lets you adjust how far the forks can turn. Is that something you can do on the GS? Can't find any info on it.

only thing you can do, is take a dremel/diegrinder to the steering lock steel plate.. I did this with mine when I put taller handlebars on the bike. to give myself a better tight turn radius. if you want even less, and you own a welder. just welt a nut onto the plate and stick a bolt in there and tighten down the bolt until its where you want it.

J_Walker, are those two holes cast into the lower clamp threaded?
A long set-screw in there might work.
Also might limit the steering too much.

Or, screws in the holes and grind down the tab?

they are threaded, but do not go all that way threw.

I think MAYBE you could drill/tap a hole in the little "cast" post up top, and thread a bolt on there. and use the bolt as the "stop"

In case anyone is curious about what the OP was describing.

yeah that could work on the GS500 if you drill + tap the little nodes that stick up on the triple.

Or upgrade the triples as part of a fork upgrade. Tbh I forget who's done that here. But all in all the drill/tap idea seems far easier.
