Solenoid?

Hi,  I have a full charged battery and even a booster jumper on there.  I keep on hearing click click click on the ignition solenoid. Prior to that I thought it was a low battery and I also changed my positive battery cable or at least made a new one. Recharged and put it back in, tried to fire it up and I still get click click click. But when I jump the starter solenoid (with a piece of wire or screwdriver) it kicks over just fine.  Is it time for a new solenoid?

Assuming all the connections to it are clean and tight..........yes.

Thank you.  At first I thought I had to buy a new battery, but the one thing I love about this GS is that there's a lot of parts on eBay ha
