What model seat would fit my 2001 GS500?

I saw some posts, nothing that answered my particular question.

I am looking to purchase a seat from ebay, would anyone happen to know what model seats would fit the 2001 GS500 if any at all?

1989 - 2000 seats definitely look like they will not fit.
2004 looks very similar.

Orrrr...anyone have suggestions for repairing seat covers? Only area that needs repair is the edge that hugs the gas tank.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi roxxer69,

AFAIK, there are only two styles of oem GS seats... the earlier one with the raised part at the front and the newer style that kinda wraps around the tank a bit.

According to the wiki, the seat style and shape changed in 2001... so any seat from '01+ should fit!

I can't give ya any leads on repairing a seat but I did re-cover my ('98) seat a few years ago. Not very hard at all if you have patience, a flat screwdriver for prying out staples and a good staple gun! And plenty of staples, of course ;)
