I lost my only key to my 2007 Suzuki GS500F does anyone know how much this will cost me at the dealership

I'm only posting this today because they're not open

A locksmith would be a cheaper option. If you have the key code, they should be able to cut you a replacement. (For less than half what a dealer will charge you) Ask me how I know!

Call a locksmith and ask over the phone, they MAY have a way to look up keycodes for particular things via the VIN.. make sure to call a couple [just whip open a phone book to the lock smith section and call like 5...]

I solved this problem pretty cheaply.A motorcycle dealer in Lapeer Michigan call the Ray C's Extreme Motorsports they were able to access the key code by means of the VIN number believe me not everybody can do that after that it was a little chore but I finally found a locksmith that could access Suzukis database and he cut the key from the key code $35 total

So people. Little lesson. While you still have you keys get 2 or more cut and keep them somewhere SAFE! The GS 500 keys are nice and cheap because they don't have stupid chips in them.

I have to comment mainly because you mentioned Ray C's Lapeer -- good place. They got me started on two wheels back in the mid-90's when my dad bought us a dirt-bike from them to putz around on our property.

Awesome you got your key situation fixed though.

When I bought the bike it only had one key this is Suzuki dealer near me didn't even mess with keys for the my $35 I had three keys made when you lose your only key and don't have a key code it's a b**** my other option was have a locksmith come out for $120 and make me 2 keys butt Shack around and you'll find them a lot cheaper but Ray C's Motorsports in Lapeer Michigan can get you the key code if you have the VIN number not many places I called could do that
