things will work out :). can alwayys use that 6mm  rod for a camera mount. would work on that achor hole on seatpost. would be perfect if camera mounted directly to it. if not no biggie can still makke it work.

was able to test the camera while riding in fathers car. +as able to get to food place for dinner. picked it up and on way home, tested it out. excellent in my opinion.  the inaugural run of the battle cow will have a good video run.

decided ill use that 6mm rod as a security pin for seatpost. as well as a camera mount. placing lens 6" above hardscape vs 3". seat post was sitting on top of security pin. but bicycle style clamp held securely.   this will lower seat maybe 2" improving center of gravity. and not make it so top heavy.

sumbi*ch lol. it turns out the 1st rod 8mm (it was/is) and 2nd one which arrived today also sposed to be 8mm (it is) turns out i misread the ruler. (thought it was metric it WASNT) I DUG OUT MY MITUTOYO calipers and measured that socket extension  which fits perfectly. turns out  it is 12mm not 8. the fault is entirely mine. soooooo ive got 2 8mm rods which wont work for the axle. however could find other uses for them (actually would work for stronger versions of the rear qr clamp on mount.) so not a total loss but still i feel like an arse for this gradeschool screwup.
:technical:
soooo either i order a 12mm rod or i locate the aforementioned socket extension and cut threads into it.

I hear ya'! We all do that sort of thing from time to time...

Twice now I've stripped a bolt on the 450 despite believing my torque wrench was set right... then discovering I didn't reset it to the minimum 10 ft-lbs first...  :technical:

i hear ya. been there 2 times. once on exhaust bolt on the gs, and another time on my ford windstars brake caliper bolt. it started to let go i immediately stopped turning. said a quick prayer lol and SLOWLY started going backwards. and it came out. holding on by 1 thread. but in this case, ej GOD bless him spent money twice on 2 bolts based solely on my incorrect measurements.  so now, ive got to raise funds to 1 repay him and 2  purchase whats needed.

Still have to get to ace hardware for the inside bolts I.e.. The ones that go against the bearings. Anyhow just cut the axle. I cut it long to adjust bias left or right as needed.

Got the nuts @ ace. Didn't get the stainless ones due to 2x the cost. This is the overall width of hub. Have to mill it down to 68.56 will probably need a couple of shouldered washers probably.

Yes wheels are filthy. California dust with some Dallas TX, Arkansas and tn dust combined Lol. Will be cleaned on final assembly.

I'm confused... why does the hub need milling down?

sorry should have clarified. i confuse myself sometimes. anyways clearance inside frame @ wheel mount is 68.56mm. the picture shows 73 and change. as it sits, its too wide. distance between bolts is 73 and change. have to narrow this. 2 ways i could do this, or 3 actually really the only purpose of those 2 bolts is to hold axle in place.. i could either file 2mm off of each one which  or 2.5mm if i use a shoulder washer, or cut a bolt off of a tube nut ive got and go that route.  OR since these are just clincher bolts, i can use plate washers and bust build it up to 68.5 and the pressure from the nylock nuts on outside will secure it.
