A year or so ago I snapped a primary case bolt putting too much torque on it and immediately ordered a new one from Bike Bandit.  When it arrived it was different than what I was expecting, instead of being a hex washer cap it was a hex socket cap and it appears that it is a different pitch to boot.  BB told me they didn't have what I needed and to contact my dealer, and since there are none close by the project stalled.  So my question to the group is, does any one know about a switch for the primary case bolts?  Did they switch to caps?  Bike is a '93 500E[P].

I don't think they've ever changed. I replaced my number 11 [snapped off in the case] with a right bolt I found at the hardware store.

yesterday I saw a whole loose set on ebay, if i had more then one missing/stretched I would of gone that route.

I'm looking at bolt #5 on the Crankcase cover.  For '93[EP] the original part number is "01547-06354" but it is crossed out and replaced with "01547-0635B".  Other '93 models [K/R/S/T] use another bolt, I'm tempted to try to order that one instead.

OH I REPLACED ALL THOSE WITH HARDWARE STORE HEX BOLTS LONG time ago. on the right side at least. I thought you where talking about the bolts that connect the two transmission halves together.
