It was 27 degrees (about -3 c). I rode my GS500f to work and was not really cold. Of course I am only 10 minutes or so away and go no more than 45 mph (accurate). I have been riding for 55 years and have not had a fairing or even a windshield on a bike before. I added a Laminar Lip to the windscreen and it works well--protects the torso from direct wind blast. The only problem is that my glasses and face shield fog up badly. Any suggestions?

What helmet are you using?

Anything with an available pin-lock shield would be the ultimate in anti-fog, but there are several products on the market you can apply to lenses to help.

Also helps if you have some kind of face mask that captures your breath like a balaclava.  Breathing through the nose is better than through the mouth, if you do end up mouth-breathing try to breath downward.

I love pinlock shield on my HTC, too bad they are about as soft as jello. riding with your visor up kills them with scratches. and are expensive to replace [considering what they are..]

I have a bottle of anti-fog stuff for my scuba mask, I wonder if it would work at all if I applied it to the inside of my visor... I might try it on my spare clear just to see if it would work.

I had to look up what a pin lock face shield is. It looks good, but my problem is with the glasses and inside the shield. qcbaker, I'm really curious about the scuba mask anti-fog. Watcher--thanks for the suggestions.

Yeah, you can get anti-fog sprays for glasses pretty easily - I did a lot of looking into it when I cycled with glasses, but I really wanted anti-rain and that wasn't so readily available. I don't wear any glasses or anything like that anymore though so can't tell you much more, unfortunately. I do keep my helmet visor from fogging up just by keeping it open (only cracked when riding quick), I'm a big fan of the fresh air anyway so it works for me.
