New bike High idle and has to run on pri

How do I get the main needle our of the diaphragm/slide? Does it screw or pull out? I think that is where my last o-ring goes.

It pulls out.

Happy to report that after all that work, it seems to have corrected the issue. The petcock runs on and the idle it normal.

When I took the carb apart, I counted the turns to bottom it out and then when I put it back together, I did the same amount. It seems to run perfectly and idle at around 1200 as it should. Is there any need to adjust the ratio screw?

If the idle speed is right and you don't have any misbehaviors, no need to adjust. Don't fix what's not broken
