Questions about carb cleaning

The best advice anyone can give you Bikerboy is to give up now and seek professional help.

Don't get me wrong and appologies for being blunt but if you don't know where the plugs are you have no chance of successfully removing, cleaning and reinstalling a set of carbs  or diagnosing any related issues

Heeeheeee, glad I didnt listen to you and pay 600 bucks to do something I already did. It took a little longer but I got it fixed.  Couple weeks back, I took it apart once more, put it back together, being cautious with the vacuum tubing and the fuel lines. Filled it up with gas and BAM, started right up. Not sure what I did this time but it works better than I've ever seen it - and I didnt even need to know where those pesky spark plugs were. 

A few days ago I changed the oil and filter too, using valvoline 4-stroke mineral oil and a fram ch6000 filter. The old oil was NASTY, pitch black crap. I dont think this bike was as taken care of as the seller told me it was, good thing its a tank though. Makes me wonder what else I need to do..

So, carbs cleaned, oil changed, tires full. Besides changing the brake fluid reservoirs and cleaning/lubing the chain, is there any other maintenance I'm missing that I should do to get my bike ready for this season?

Check the fornt Wheel fork "brace" for cracks around the bolt holes.
Check the steering head bearings ( should be OK on a bike this age)
Check all the wherel bearings and the sprocket carrier. Stock bearings are not top quality.
Check the slop on the countershaft sprocket. Because it isn't bolted/screwed to the C/S some aftermarket sprocket can cause aweful gouging ( some of the badly made OEM Suzie ones can as well).
Everything else about the same as most bikes of that age.
