Hey sorry if im not posting right im fairly new to forums.

I bought a 1993 GS500e that had a bunch of aftermarket stuff (air box, exhaust etc,) and the carb was rejetted for it. I have been returning the bike back to stock and i replaced the jets in the carb with factory size ones per the service manual. The bike has a stock airbox and exhaust now. One thing the manual is not clear on that I have a question about is this:

The needles in the carbs have a thick plastic washer, and a thin metal washer under neath the e-clip on the needle. The service manual only shows one washer underneath the clip but the manual is in black and white and i cant tell which washer I'm supposed to leave in the carb and which one i need to take out to return it to factory settings. They are different thickness's and im worried if the wrong washer gets removed it will change the needle setting and make the bike run weird or lean it out. Does anyone know or have photos of what there needle set up looks like? Much appreciated.

The thick plastic spacer is from the factory, on needles with slots the middle position is how it is set with the plastic spacer under the clip. Then there is a very think metal spacer on top of the clip which doesn't affect the needle position its just for the spring to sit on. That's for the 3 jet carbs anyway so yours might be a bit different. I think it's the right move to use the factory airbox.
