Cylinder head compatibility

Hey guys,

I have a broken cam cap in my 2001 GS500E, so I've come to the conclusion that I need to replace the cylinder head. My question is, will the head from any year GS500E be compatible on this bike? Or will a head from a 2000-2001 be my only option? Thanks

I have a 95 head on my 2005. but the 2005 uses electronic tach. so all I had to do was plug the hole for the mechanical tach..

otherwise all the heads work for all the years.
