anyone had one?

The black widow has to go because its stupid loud and pissing me off. hoping they run the same pipe diameter then I can just swap silencers. They appear to grade these in nice scientific terms but im hopeful this being heavier has more wool in it and will be quieter.

My experience with Delkevic mufflers is that they are very heavy and not that quiet. You  need neither weight nor restriction to make a quiet muffler, just good design.
Have a look at the bigger TYGA mufflers. Light well made and not TOO noisy ( avoid the Motomaggot as it is LOUD.
GPR makes some nice ones as well ( check the models noise level as they vary a fair bit).
Akra also are not too bad as long as you leave the dB killer in ( and they often run better with them in anyway). Bit expensive though.
If you don't mind heavy and want reasonable, not to noisy, Satintune if you can get them. VERY long lasting but heavy.

The weight doesn't bother me really, I often carry a backpack full of pap around which easily adds 5kg on or sometimes I don't so an extra kilo here-n-there doesn't matter.

TYGA uk-wise seems odd? their UK site is all priced in USD and the GBP is a crumbling wreck so after I multiply it all by 10 I run out of money.

the Akra ones are serious money - maybe on a new GBP10k bike, but not on my GS.

I need to investigate the 'db killer' on my exhaust, maybe what I thought was standard fit is actually just a screw and I need to buy the fitting to quieten it down. I seem to remember when I was buying it that it came pre-fitted and there is definitely something in there.

its a shame because it looks ace, really smartens the bike up.
