Strange clutch issue

I meant spray it into the area outside of the carbs where I am expecting an air leak, I don't see how a miniscule amount like that harm anything inside. But would spraying water actually show anything? I guess it won't hurt to try...

Didn't get to the float level check but I played around with some hoses, replaced a torn one, filled up the tank and all is well again. Took her for a 1h spirited ride today early morning and had no issues at all. Whatever it was, it seems fixed.
