LED Dash indicator bulb replacement

I've searched all over the forum but can't seem to find the answer to this question!

I've got an 08 GS500F and recently replaced all the dash bulbs with LED's. The Oil Pressure, Neutral & Full Beam Lights all work perfectly, but if I put a bulb in the Indicator it works for a minute then the LED dies.

I believe this is because current is run both ways through the circuit which blows the bulb, but is there a way to fix this? The brightness of the LED's is great, and having the indicator brighter would be very useful.

Any input on this one?

Thanks

TGTwin

I don't know how handy you are with a soldering iron, but I recently bought cheap LED dash bulbs and to get it to work with the indicators I just bought a tiny bridge rectifier (eBay MB6S rectifier, I got 12 for a dollar) and soldered it between the input leads and the LED. It works a treat.

Search here for "diode mod". You have to rewire the socket and solder in a pair of diodes. Or just don't use an LED for that indicator.
