I have an 04' Suzuki gs500f. Last week, I cleaned the carbs; jets, passages, float bowls, etc. Changed oil, oil filter & replaced battery yesterday.
I have spark, fuel & compression. Cranks, but does not start.
It works up, but doesn't catch.
I've already gone through the wiring, it's all good. Clean gas. No fuel in the air box. Kill switch off.  :dunno_black: I am so lost. This is my first bike, so if anyone has any suggestions, or SOLUTIONS!!!!! please let me know..  I've also checked the fuel lines & petcock; both fine.  Let me know guys/gals.!

Something probably went south with your recent work. I hate to say it, but really the quickest way to solve this is to retrace your steps and perhaps even redo everything except the oil/filter/batt change. There's just something missing or installed wrong.

Some owners of the Mk2 bikes will likely come in and help with more specific advice.

I'm not mocking you.  It's probably something small your missing.  Can you get any 'pop' off starter fluid?  If not, make sure you actually have spark,.. check wiring again.

Having gone through the carbs, did you turn the petcock to Prime for a bit to fill the carb bowls with fuel?  Possibly forgot to turn the tank valve back on?  Vacuum lines?

Verify you have fuel in the carbs by cracking the bowl drains.  Verify everything not fuel/carb related with a SMALL shot of starting fluid into the air box.
