Hello All,

Its been a long while since I have posted and I wish it was under better circumstances but it is to sell my long loved GS500 "Audrey"
Some of you may remember me and Audrey as friends of the GS lover Adidasguy. Patrick was the one who got me started on wrenching and riding the GS, and to be honest, it was one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life to learn about motorcycles with him.
Audrey has taken me all over the PNW but I have recently had a change in life and I will be moving to Boston in less than a week (the 23rd of June!). I had someone who I thought was a good match for her completely flake out on me so I am running out of time and do not have the funds to bring her with me.
It is my hope that Audrey will find a good home that can give her the care and feeding she deserves.
This bike shows all of Patrick's most select touches from the stainless steel "GS500" chain guards, the double thick front fork brace with the Suzuki "S" etched in it, CNC'd aluminum stator cover, and LED gauge lights just to start.

She currently has 17k on the odometer, 14k of that ridden by me.
I just replaced:
- the sprockets and chain
- the battery.
- the sidecase gaskets
- Fuel lines and filters

There are quite a few bling and functional aftermarket parts:
- The afore mentioned Water-jetted stainless steel "GS500" chain guard and heel plates
- Steel braided brake lines
-Hydraulic pressure switch for rear brake light (because why not)
- R&G Heated hand grips and bar ends
- Factory Gel seat (this was a $300 option that most people did not get from the factory, much better than stock)
- Givi short windshield (I had a bigger one on it but I like this little one better)
-Battery charge indicator light
-Mosfett rectifier (original burned out, this one came off a Yamaha, )
- PIAA dual horn, (This sucker has saved me many times from inattentive drivers, IT IS LOUD)
-SW Motech crash guards (no longer made, these have saved the engine side cases and paid for themselves)
- Adjustable clutch and brake levers -$120 (Kept the clutch safety switch)
-One of the cool things is the color of the tank and rear fairings are colors that only come from Europe (I left the Dutch warning sticker on the tank because I thought it was unique, Patrick got this on one directly from the Netherlands if I remember correctly)
-Rear rack with a mount for a Givi top box (its from an SV650, not sure which year)

About 6 years ago I was in an accident, I replaced the whole front end:
-the upper and lower tripple clamps,
-the fork stanchions
-Replaced the springs with Racetech .90kg springs (much better feel than the stock or the progressive rate springs I had before)
-Headlight (used bucket shows some scrapes)
-Gauge enclosure (kept original bezel, could do with a re-paint as it has chips and some minor surface rust)
- Left footpeg and bracket

I cleaned the tank out, It had a lot of rust inside it due to water pooling in the low spots of the tank. I have been monitoring the tank since, and have not noticed a return of rust (I have not heard any good results about tank coatings so I decided to not risk a bad job)

I recommend replacing and checking the routing of the throttle cable, it still works but the cable housing is cracked right after the adjustment nut. When you turn the bars hard over it pulls the throttle open.
Under hard throttle I have noticed that the clutch is starting to slip, I have a replacement clutch pack ready.

if you have any questions let me know.

Here are some links to pics of the bike, I have been having trouble posting a smaller image that doesn't take more than the whole page.
