Hi All,

New to the forum having purchased a bike in bits as a project (which has been sat in my garage for two years now)...

I'm assembling the carbs to test whether the engine will run, but have been caught out here. Points to note which i missed in the video below:
The there are two t-bar pipes which mount off the two crossbars between the carbs - the upper has a capped pipe, and the lower goes to the fuel tap

So my main questions are...

1, Does my overall assembly look right so far?
2, Does the pipe from the cam cover mount into the airbox as shown in the video?
3, Does the PAIR valve pipe go into the lower airbox, or have I missed something?

Sorry for the silly questions, but the manual (Haynes) doesn't really help with this bit.

Spark Plug, Spark-Plug, Spark, Plug isn't accepted in verification q's
Is is 2 or two tires/tyres?
Is it 1 or one petcock?
Gas, Fuel, Petrol? It's Gas
Carburetor (incorrect spelling)_

I'm struggling to post as there are too many variants for the verification process... I'll try to respond, but I will give up after the first dozen times....

Hey bodeye:

Welcome to the forum! I got your cry for help using the forum, but I'm not sure exactly what assistance you require.  :technical: Feel free to PM me here or send me an email at pandyz at the gmail place.

Kind regards,
That purple pandy person  :angeldevil:

P.S. Our forum has a robust verification process due to severe SPAM conditions. It was and is a necessary evil, unfortunately,  but I'd be happy to help you in any way possible while you're in early navigation.

Thanks for your swift reply.

Basically, I'm looking for clarification that I have the correct nozzles/tubes heading to the right place.

All looks about right, but was unsure about the T bar on the LH side. I've just discovered I've overlooked some too.... Gonna go take some pictures now.

Also, what's the US word for spark plug?.. gets me every time

Okay, so I'm sorry if I'm a little vague but I literally bought the bike in pieces (see picture attached).

I'm pretty sure I have all the existing pipes in the right place, but would appreciate if someone can check whether there are any obvious errors?

Also, I have two pipes running up the RH side of the carb from the electrical connector on the bottom. Both appear to have spare t-piece sections and I don't know what these connect to - should they connect to each other (see video below)?

Hi bodeye. Only saw your posts now. In case you haven't come right, below is a picture of the plumbing on my 2004 GS500F's carbs.

Hopefully it will help you out or just confirm what you've done is right.
