2 Stroke Jamoke

Hey everyone,  Ian here, and I just joined up. I have a cool project and I need a little help. I have a 72 kawasaki h1 engine in a 08gs500 frame. It's a helluva beast to ride. What I need is a stock subframe or at least the back half of the subframe. I'm attempting to put the plastic and seat back to stock. I have attached a few pictures for reference.  Please holler at me if you modded your subframe and have the old stock brackets laying around! Cheers!

awesome!  Sorry I don't have any pieces but,..could you tell the story about that one?  I just stored my project gs that had an engine swap in it.  Really cool to see another gs with engine swap!  Thanks for sharing!

Well I'm a 2stroke nut and I came across a couple of very beat up h1's. In the process of restoring them I thought, wouldn't it be nice if this thing handled good? H1s are notoriously poor handling but they are powerhouses! I found a gs500 that was wrecked and I was off! I have a ton of pics from the build I'll include a few more. Thanks!

That is just awesome! Love it. 👍🏻

I lost a good friend to a Kawasmoki 500 triple. I never learned if it was the crap handling and brakes or if The Fates had already cut the yarn, but I'm guessing something that handled as well as these little twins might have bought him some more time.

Wonderful project! Keep us posted.

Now you doing mix of 2 smoke oil and gas right ?
TBH, that may be the ticket to keeping the tank from rotting out.

Cool.

The h1 is injection only, if you premix them you starve the left bearing on each crank web. I dont know how wheelie happy a normal gs is, but this bad boy will send the front up with alarming ease! I would love for yall to ride it!

A gs isn't wheelie happy at all. Its rather hard to get the front wheel up. Put a better Front end on it, a katana 600 89-95 one would really do well on beasts like this.
Cool.
