Hello,

I had a fuel starvation problem, which could be linked to a plathora of reasons. I did the petcock delete to see if it improved. It did. Now the bike seems to run fine for the duration of the ride. The test drive was only a couple of miles to put new gas in the tank but no problems.

However, when I drove into my parking lot, it died when throttle was applied in Neutral. After that the bike refused to turn over.

What should I check ? I'll try another test ride this evening to see if I can see something else.

Thanks.

I'd start by checking fuel flow. it's easy, later Carbs have a drain hole on the bottom and you put a small measuring container underneath and check that enough fuel flows in a minute. there is a formula for how much fuel you need according to the bikes horsepower, I don't remember offhand but 200 mililitres a minute rings a bell.

You mean the carb bowl could be empty after a while ? I'll have a look at that. Thanks.
