Hi guys. I need to alter the preload on the gs, however I do not have the toolkit for the bike  :hithead: I have one for a gs1200 that fits but I just cannot move it. Would a spanner wrench work?

Thanks

What does the "spanner" look like?

The stock wrench is a "spanner" to me. It's not too special and I'd expect some universal spanners might work.

I bought a used tool kit from eBay for $10 plus $5 shipping.  (Of course now that the bike has a R6 shock, IDK if the shock spanner will even fit....)

As an alternative, you can use a long flat screwdriver and a hammer to tap the collar to rotate it to the setting you want.
