Engine swap

I have an 05 gs500f  and I am wondering if the engine from a 1994 gs500 will work or is it too old?

Yea it will work, you have to use all the electronics off the 05 including the crank trigger and advancer, and find a way to plug up the tach drive in the head. Or run the 94's cable tach.
You also wont get an oil cooler unless you swap those parts out of the 05.
