Just under a year ago I bought an 07 gs500F. Since then, I've rebuilt the carbs and cleared some rust from an intake port. Now that it's all together it won't start. The engine keeps spinning over and over until the battery dies. I've checked the carb drains for fuel, and there is a steady flow. I also replaced the battery. I've checked the connections on the right side by the engine and everything seems to be plugged in. The spark plugs look new. They are iridium and have a very small blue spark. Theres a good amount of gas in the tank, and I've tried jumping the clutch wires

Did you put new sparkplugs in ? Sometimes the new plugs dont work right till they get some soot on them. Put old plugs back in and try or if those been tossed, put a drop of gas on it and light it with a match.
Cool.

I'm using the ones that were in it when I bought it. They guy I got it from also gave me 2 other (used?) spark plugs that also do the same

If you're running the starter that long, you should be able to smell gas (vapor) coming from the exhaust. If you can't, then the carbs aren't supplying fuel. Make sure you are set to PRIME, even if there seems to be fuel in the bowls. A shot of starter fluid into the air intake should get the bike to fire if you are getting spark (but no fuel). The iridium plugs are probably fine, but don't try to clean them with sandpaper etc. or you will wreck the iridium electrode.

It's been sitting on prime for a while and I've tried starting fluid but the spark plugs are still dry. I probably messed up somewhere when rebuilding the carbs

I just started draining the lines to the peacock and the gas isorange so im guessing the lines had rust or something in them. I'm going to try draining the gas and getting clean gas but would that stop it from starting?
