So i just put on my V&H full system and I can see why people say it's a pain to do the filter change with the way the pipes run.

My real question is how long do you guys wait between filter changes.  I just put a new one in last summer and have only put about a 1000 miles on the bike since then. I'm definitely going to change oil before the season starts, but was wondering on what the usual filter life is.

thanks

JakeD-getting your nipple pierced is not crazy. Killing a drifter to get an errection? Now that's crazy!

change your filter every time you change your oil...

the filter will last longer then you oil but just to make sure, change the filter too

I change my oil and filter every 2k-3k miles(dino oil).  I drive everything from city traffic to hwy., including driving on a farm(if you want tips for soft dirt/sand, let me know).  I would be rather safe than sorry, an extra few oil changes looks to be much cheaper than a new engine.

I change every 3k with Synthetic, always change the filter and gasket at the same time.
