hey guys! So im fairly new to the gs500 platform. I've been having issues with my bike lately. The idle is all over the place. it takes much longer than it should to fire up, not only does it backfire way too much and is seemingly running rich, but on occasion when starting i hear it front firing around the exhaust manifold. it was fine a few weeks ago. i did a carb rebuild kit, and it did run a little better but now it's having an idle issue. either it idles at 4000 rpm or it just shuts off. the throttle cable was slightly too tight previously, so when i turned the handlebars to the right the rpm's would skyrocket, so i adjusted that and it's fine. i was under the impression that that's why it was idling high but apparently not. The T fitting for the breather off the carb is also cracked, would that create a vacuum leak big enough to not let it idle? and where could i get one new? The bike rides perfectly normal, but anything below +/- 2000 rpm it misfires and breaks up badly, and if i throttle it too quickly it wants to die. it does all of these things whether the engine is cold or warm. any input is appreciated, i work well off of pictures and videos rather than just text if possible. let me know any other information you may need to help diagnose this issue. thank you!

Upper T vent in the carbs need to be open to air so a  rack in that T isn't an issue.
You sound like you have a float that is too high. Those weird sneezy backfires and the backfiring in the exhaust are both symptoms of that.
You're super rich, only possible on float level problems on a bike you've not jetted with 45 pilots, even a 42.5 wont be that bad, in fact it will start easy cold and only stall at takeoff's when fully warmed up.

Cool.
