So my motorbike got stolen and recovered but with messed up locks so I'm changing them all over for new ones. The seat lock was busted up, so it basically just fell apart, so I'm just left with the wire: https://imgur.com/a/i47tS2I

I'm assuming just yanking on the wire should unlock the seat, but it doesn't do anything, and now I can't get the seat to open. Any suggestions on best way to get access to where this cable leads to?

Thanks again everyone :)

---After looking through the forum again I found this video which looks helpful:

So now I can at least see what it looks like, but it seems that the cable is still attached on the other end, and even getting my hand further along the cable and pulling it more from the side still does nothing. I can't see why it wouldn't unlock  :dunno_black:

When I left my wire unhooked when putting the backside back together I was able to remove the license plate holder, remove the bottom trim piece from the back and then I could see the mechanism. After that it was just getting then end of a coat hanger in the circular hole the wire and ball goes in and pulling to the side. If the wire is still in there you might be able to hook onto something else but just moving that slide should undo it.
