Only oil light and neutral light work

I was coming to the end of a racer build and put in a new battery, the bike oil light stays on all the time, even when the bike is off and with no key. The only other light that stays in is neutral, the rest of the bike is dead. The bike worked fine on an older battery, what's going on?

Wow, you connect it backwards ? I've done that on a different make/model and it blew a fuse ... but this one only has a fuse on starter circuit.

No, I definitely didn't but checking for blown fuses is a good idea for trouble shooting. I'll try this, any other tips?
