Tank mod with body filler

I've got to throw some body filler on my tank and while I'm at it I'm considering smoothing the bottom. The bottom/sides of the GS tank go from nice smooth shape to the engineering metal join that meets the frame. Has anyone seen any mods to the tank in this way or similar?
