Oil filter cap bolts

Hey all. Seems like a very specific question so I'll start with some backstory. I was changing my oil and had finished doing up the oil filter cap. Unfortunately 2/3 nuts used to hold the cap on are now threaded and simply spin in a circle. Can't really get anything under it to pry it off so am currently thinking of resorting to cutting of the top of the nut (it is a dome nut) and welding the nut to the bolt in the hopes that I can spin the bolt out of the engine frame. Does anyone know if it is possible to spin the bolt out or is it casted in?
Any other suggestions are welcome 🙏🏼

i believe its a stud and you can change it.
i personally would try extracting the stud using 2 nuts locked in between if you have thread left where the filter cap sits.

Hey thanks for the advice. Unfortunately because it is a dome nut and I can't get it off, there isn't enough thread for two bolts.
Great to hear about the studs though

i think the only option would be cutting the dome nut to have more access to the thread, or welding.

Also domed nuts could top out before completely seating the cap, best to use common locking nuts (the ones with a oring fitted that prevents them from backing out)
