Hi folks, it's been a while because the forum won't let me login from my pc. Something about cookies that clearing cache etc won't fix...

I've got an interesting new problem, my 2003 has started cutting out dead after about half an hour of riding. If I turn around and let her coast back down the mountain for 15 minutes she starts right up and goes again for another half hour. Last time this happened I had a spark plug in my pocket to test and,  no spark on both sides.

Electrical heat issue right?

Because it's affecting both sides I'm guessing it's either the trigger coil, or the ignitor. Or the wiring, but that looks ok at first glance.

Planning to gently heat the two items with heat gun one at a time to try and replicate the problem.

Anyone been there done that?

Cheers

Got the Suzuki trouble identified, was amazing,  with a hot air gun on the signal generator coil. I could get it to go open circuit and back down to normal within a few degrees every time. 200 chf for a new one, there were no second hand ones for sale. They must be a weak point...
