Okay I generally don't talk about my own personal crap on here. But this time I really need to. I lost my right leg about 2 years ago. And I really would like to have a rear brake. I know I have a few options here. But I'm not sure how they all will work with the GS500 or not. I was thinking of using a stunt clutch handle for my clutch. I'm not sure whether to go with a cable driven or fluid driven. And if I use cable driven. Is there any way to make it actually easier as the stunt handle is kind of small. Or is there a good way to translate this into a fluid driven situation. Any thoughts on the subject would be helpful as I've never set up a rear bike like this. The other question is how do I go about connecting the rear brake in either situation.

Could you adapt a CBS system from some bike? i believe is dual pump from the handle perch

While waiting for HEL to make the brake lines for the GS I was looking through their display case and saw they have rear thumb brakes. They seem a bit pricey but I am sure there are other brands with a similar product. From what I've seen there is a hydraulic resevoir and line from the bars down to the caliper.

Hope that helps.
You're just jealous because the voices only talk to me.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. GLad you are still riding the GS.

Some Mototgp guys use thumb brakes 😉. There was a podcast from the motorcycles and misfits a year or so ago where there was a group talking about getting folks with disabilities racing with some very cool modifications, Will try to find it.

OK I looked at the options. Im going with a shorty cable system for the clutch and a master for the rear.

Dose anyone know how long of a line I will need from bars to the rear calipers?

I love the thumb brake, However I lack thumb brake money
