I think that it would actually take longer to write it out, than to actually do it. Joris may have a tear down on the rear in his GSXR wheel how-to on  bikepower.net.

The trickiest part on the front is levitating the front wheel to have enough room to drop the wheel. The rest is loosening bolts, literally.

Here's what I built to work on my front end.

so i would put the front end under a stand like that, or on jack stands, and leave the rear end held up by the centerstand?

Put the machine on the centre stand and prop up the machine with bricks or wood under the motor's sump.  Otherwise, if you take the front wheel off it will sit quietly for a while, then lunge forward onto the front forks and try to kill you.  Don't ask me how I know.
