Hey guys.  Wanted to see if anyone has used the Craftsman motorcycle jack with their GS500.  I have a narrow 1 car garage, the only way for the bike and a car to fit in at the same time is for the bike to be up against the back wall, but it's too much work to get it like that every time I ride.  I'm thinking the Craftsman jack could do the trick though.  Any thoughts?

I have the "Big Red" motorcycle jack - I'd assume it's similar to the Craftsman jack. Definitely made my life easier - especially when the bike was stripped down to the frame/motor last winter. You need to take the exhaust off to jack the bike up though, so it's not real convenient for simple maintenance things.

Not sure what a Craftsman Jack is but here in the UK you can buy something that resembles a sheet of steel plate (about 1 foot x 1 foot) with casters at the corners.

Just put it under the centre stand and when the bike is up on the stand, you can literally wheel the bike around in any direction you want.

Should be relatively easy to make something like this if you don't want to buy one.

That's the sort of input I was looking for.  Crap.  I hadn't looked too closely.  If this is the case then it definitely won't work for what I'm thinking.

I feel your pain....I was putting my bike in the very back of the garage....but had to work it in there.

I now put it right at the front left side if you are looking outside from inside.
Now my fiance has to wait until I pull out of the garage to get in, but it makes my life a whole lot easier.

Did I mention I now back in.

I can put my truck all the way back and the the right, leaving me with enough room to take the bike out, or the truck depending on the day.

With most garages larger once you get through the door....you can crank the wheel to the left in this case, which puts my truck far right..  I even have a good deal of stuff stacked up against both walls....this probably won't help much, but gl anyway~
Cheers!
